Originally from Chicago, Vanessa now designs and builds homes in Wisconsin’s Lake Country. Vanessa Mercedes Designs carries each project from the first design concept through construction and the final details — one team, with one vision.
A love of French architecture.
Vanessa grew up in Chicago. At twenty-two, a trip to Paris left her in love with French architecture — the graceful arches, the ironwork, the paneled walls and the way light moves through a room. That love has stayed with her, and it inspires much of her work today.
She has worked across many design styles, and is most at home where bold, earthy luxe meets modern elegance: warm, layered rooms built on natural materials, rich tones and timeless detail — spaces that feel collected rather than decorated.
